Register a roaster

What is a roastery?

A roastery is a virtual space where you can record and manage your roasting activities, and share them with other members.

If you're using a Stronghold roaster, you can register it to unlock features like profile management, roast comparison, and inventory tracking.

Invite family, friends, or team members who use the roaster with you — everyone can access and view the roastery’s records together!

Roastery categories

Roasteries you’re part of are divided into two categories based on who created them.

  • Owned Roastery
A roastery that you created and own. All records within this roastery belong to you.
You can own up to 3 roasteries.

  • Participating Roastery
A roastery created by another member, which you’ve joined through an invitation.

All records in this roastery belong to the owner.

You can participate in up to 3 roasteries.

Create a roastery

You can create a roastery by clicking the Create New Roastery button in the navigation bar.

When creating a roastery, you can set the roastery name, choose the weight unit for managing green beans and blends, and select the currency for recording green bean purchases.

Why register a roaster?

By registering your roaster in the roastery, you can access all your roast profiles anytime, anywhere — even when you're away from the machine.

You can also manage your green bean inventory with ease and compare roast profiles — something that wasn’t possible before!

How to register a roaster

  • To register your roaster on Boost, your Roastware must be version v3.1.0 or higher.

If you're using an earlier version, please apply to become a beta tester and update to the latest version.

  • Details on the beta version usage can be found in the Service Operation Policy.

  • Before registering, make sure your roaster is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Poor internet connection may interrupt the registration process.

  • Note: Roasters can only be registered to an owned roastery. If you don’t have one yet, please create a new roastery first, then proceed with the registration.

Registering a Roaster

Roaster registration is done through Roastware.

There are two ways to open the Boost registration window within Roastware.

  1. Restart the Roaster

Turning the roaster off and then back on will prompt the Boost registration window on the initial screen.

  2. Via Roastware Settings

Tap the Boost Connection button at the top of the Roastware settings screen to open the registration window.

Completing Roaster Registration

In the Boost registration window, enter your Boost account information and press Confirm.

Then, select one of your owned roasteries and enter a nickname for the roaster.

Once all information is entered and the connection is complete, your roaster will be successfully registered.

After registration, the new roaster’s profile will appear in the Recent Profiles section at the bottom of your roastery’s main screen.

You’re all set — now you can view and manage all your roaster’s profiles in Boost!

How to unregister a roaster

  • You can unregister your roaster directly from Roastware.

  • Please note that unregistering a roaster will delete all linked data associated with the Roastery, including profile connections and inventory information. Proceed with caution.

In the Settings screen of Roastware, click the Boost menu at the top. This will open a pop-up window displaying your Boost registration details. To unregister, click the “Unregister Device” button.

When you proceed with unregistering, all connections between Boost and your Roastery will be removed. Depending on the number of profiles and the amount of stored data, the process may take several minutes to complete.
