Boost User Guide

Manage profiles

If a roaster is registered to your roastery, you can manage its roasting profiles directly within Boost.

Haven’t registered a roaster yet? Make sure to check the guide on how to register a roaster in your roastery first!

Check profiles

  • All members of a roastery can view profile information on Boost.

As soon as a roast is completed, the profile is automatically uploaded to Boost, allowing you to access it anytime, anywhere.

You can easily check profile details on Boost using the methods below.

  • Graph zoom

To zoom in on a specific area of the graph, simply click and drag your cursor over the section you want to enlarge.

  • Check values by location

Hover your mouse over any point on the graph to view the temperature and heat source values at that exact moment. The data will be displayed just below the graph.

  • Export to Excel
If needed, you can export all profiles as an Excel file to view complete temperature and heat source data in detail.

Compare profiles

  • All roastery members can use the profile comparison feature to analyze roast data.

  • Currently available on PC only.

  • Profiles must be from the same roaster to be compared.

How to compare profiles

You can select up to 5 profiles to compare.

Once selected, click the Compare button to open the comparison screen in a new window.

To select profiles, use the Compare button located on the far right of each profile.

Profiles created through program roasting cannot be selected for comparison.

Profile comparison screen

The profile comparison screen is divided into three main sections:

  • Graph area (left): Visual comparison of roast curves

  • Data area (right): Temperature and heat source values

  • Details area (bottom): Additional profile information

You can analyze and compare profiles using the following features:

  • Zooming in on the graph

Click and drag your cursor over a section of the graph to zoom in on that area for a closer look.

  • Check values by point

Hover over any point on the graph to view the temperature and heat source values for that moment, shown in the panel on the right.

  • Highlight a profile

Hover over any profile in the temperature and heat source values panel on the right to highlight its curve in the graph.

  • Hide a profile

To hide a specific profile, click the hide icon in the values panel on the right.

You can still view and compare information for all profiles in the Details Area at the bottom.

Connect green beans

  • Only the roastery owner can connect green beans to a roast profile.

If roasting is done without selecting a registered green bean in Roastware, you can still connect a green bean to the profile — but only once, after the roast is completed.

Want to know how to select green beans in Roastware? Check out the guide on how to enter green bean information in Roastware!

Profiles that support green bean connections will display a “Connect Green Bean” button in the green bean information section.

You can choose from green beans or blends already registered in your roastery.

If you haven’t registered any yet, be sure to check the guide on how to register green bean and blend information.

Once a green bean is connected, an outcome record is created based on the connection time, not the roasting date. This record will appear on the detail page of the corresponding green bean or blend.

For more detailed information on these records, see the section on Green Bean & Blend Records.

Edit profiles

※ Once roasting is completed in both Roastware and Boost, you can no longer change the green bean information in the profile.

Editing information in Roastware

You can edit the following profile details in the Roastware:

  • Manual Roasting & Reproduction Roasting - Profile Name, Roasting Level, Notes

  • Program Roasting - Profile Name, Notes

Any changes made in Roastware will be instantly reflected in Boost.

※ If the roaster is not connected to Wi-Fi, changes will be synchronized once the connection is restored.

Editing Information in Boost

  • Only the owner of the roastery can edit profile information within Boost.

You can edit the following profile details in the Boost:

  • Manual Roasting & Reproduction Roasting - Profile Name, Roasting Level, Notes

  • Program Roasting - Profile Name, Notes

Changes made in Boost do not sync in real time with Roastware.

The updated information will remain in a synchronization pending state until the sync is performed through Roastware.

Once synced, the changes will be reflected alongside the data in Roastware.
